Only months after rolling out its frontend loader lineup to customers across North America, SDLG highlighted its commitment to the agricultural industry at this year’s World Ag Expo. The event took place February 11–13, in Tulare, California.

Some 1,400 exhibitors were on hand for 2014 World Ag Expo, which showcased the latest in farm equipment, communications and technology throughout a 2.6 million sq. ft. event space. SDLG displayed its LG938L and LG959 frontend loaders, a pair of machines that are ideal for the agricultural industry and for farmers.

Leaders from SDLG, as well as knowledgeable sales staff, were in attendance to answer questions about the loaders and lead walk-around tours of the equipment. Turlock, California-based SDLG dealer VCES was the booth’s primary sponsor, as it provided the featured loaders and additional support staff.

Al Quinn, director of SDLG North America, said World Ag Expo was a great chance to connect with potential customers, adding that he believes many of the show’s attendees could find value in the company’s frontend loaders.

“We are finding that many people who work in the agricultural industry don’t need all the bells and whistles of a premium-priced wheel loader, or they only need a loader for specific tasks, rather than running it all-day, every day,” he said. “World Ag Expo visitors saw first-hand that SDLG wheel loaders offer a great, cost-effective solution that wasn’t previously available to customers in North America.”

The two frontend loaders on display at World Ag Expo were the SDLG LG938L and the LG959:

• The LG938L is a 2.4 yd³ frontend loader with an operating weight of 23,150 lbs. It features a Tier 4 Deutz engine with 160 hp and 530 lb.ft of torque; ZF transmission; dry disc brakes; a hydraulic quick coupler and 3rd function hydraulics; a modern fit and finish with high visibility; and an operator-friendly cab. It also comes with a 12-month, 1,500-hour warranty.
• The LG959 is a 4.0 yd³ frontend loader with an operating weight of 38,250 lbs. It features a Tier 3 Deutz engine with 224 hp and 777 lb.ft of torque; ZF transmission and axles; wet disc brakes; a hydraulic quick coupler and 3rd function hydraulics; a modern fit and finish with high visibility; and an operator-friendly cab. It comes with a 12-month, 1,500-hour warranty.

New to SDLG’s North American frontend loader lineup is the LG958L, which has the same basic specs as the LG959 loader, but with dry disc brakes, rather than wet disc brakes, for versatility and easy maintenance. It also comes with a 12-month, 1,500 hour warranty.

All three frontend loaders include strong breakout forces and high dump clearances, which make them particularly well-suited to the material handling needs of grain, feedlot and dairy operations. Multiple ISO-interfaced attachments, including hay and silage handling attachments, pallet forks and general purpose forks, provide the versatility needed for a wide array of agriculture applications.

“Although new to North America, SDLG products have been sold in more than 80 countries and SDLG is the number one selling frontend loader brand in the world. We are already seeing its benefit to the agricultural industry,” Quinn said. “Some of our very first customers are using SDLG frontend loaders on their farms to great effect.
